Rabbi Binyomin Weinrib — The Mordy Shteibel

About the Mordy Shteibel

The shiurim of Rabbi Binyomin Weinrib — Everyone’s Shtiebel.

Rabbi Binyomin Weinrib is the Rav of Mordy’s Shtiebel (Ohel Mordechai), a shul on the Jackson–Lakewood border that he has built into a home for Yidden of every kind. It opened in 2020 in memory of Mordy Greenes a”h, and its motto says it plainly: Everyone’s Shtiebel.

He is a talmid of the Yeshiva of Philadelphia and the Mir in Yerushalayim, and he received semichah from Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz of the Jerusalem Kollel. Raised in a home of Torah and rabbanus, he brings together rigorous litvishe learning and the warmth of his family’s chassidic roots. The day at the shtiebel begins with a 6:15 a.m. kollel and runs through a full schedule of shiurim, chaburos, and farbrengen.

The shiurim on this site span that whole range — the Tanya and the Kesser Shem Tov, the weekly parsha through the Sfas Emes, the Pri Tzadik and the Ishbitzer, the teachings and stories of Rebbe Nachman, and practical halacha for everyday life. Through The Mordy Shteibel’s Podcast they reach far beyond the walls of the shul, in a clear and engaging voice that meets every Yid where he is.

From the start it was built as a place where a Yid from any background can come to daven, learn, and feel at home — Everyone's Shtiebel.

He learned in the Yeshiva of Philadelphia and the Mir in Yerushalayim and received semichah from Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz of the Jerusalem Kollel.
